What a shame. That's the thing, I think I miss most about not driving anymore. Don't think I ever seen Paul without a smile on his face. If CID don't get their act together they will start losing racers again this year, and letting people go that know is NOT the way to do it. They really need some help that know what's going on.

Talked to Big Paul yesterday, he's still pretty hurt over being wrongly fired. He said he didn't see it coming (I know that feeling) LA had him "trying to teach" her son how to set up the track and scoreboards in the event Paul was sick and couldn't show up. Paul said he should of known something was up. He said he plans on going to the track for the nostalgia race but has doubts that they will let him in because LA told him to leave the property when he refused to help after being fired.
They need think twice before they attemp to keep anyone out.... The track advertises the races to the public and the track is open to the public and as long as any spectator or racer purchases a ticket or entry fee and doesn't cause problems when their on the property, the track can't keep anyone from competing or attending, also as long as they haven't been bared from the property because of breaking rules or misconduct during events that day or in the past .
This is different from place like a bar or resturant that won't allow you in or won't serve you for whatever reason. Because bars and resturants don't charge addmission. This is why they call it a "cover charge" and not an addmssion.

I have counted 7 times that cars have been started with a car still at the end of the track. Paul wouldn't have let that happen.

not sayn paul would of stopped this from happening but the guy at the starting line should be making sure the track is clear before they let em stage for next run.if ticket shack guy/girl notices this then they can feed the info to the starter on the radio.last year they let a set of jr's race as my son was dead in the wind(locked up clutch) at the turn off.this wasnt pauls fault this was the starters fault for not watching.last year if the so called ambulance(ha) girl would of had a radio she could of told em also.now that we have a real saftey safari down there they need radios also because its hard to see the turn off from the ticket shack with where they park.they have enough radios and im sure they have em down there.

Are you back complaining again? oh by the way....The same ambulance girl is still there. And they don't have a Safety Safari, maybe a safety crew.

I have a feeling Paul knew something was going on before he was realeased because they (management) was requiring him to turn his key in after every race.
