@ Coles County Dragway
It has been a few years since I have been to your track. Back then there was a wooden bridge that had to be crossed to get into the track. How much weight is that bridge rated for? Do you think its safe to take a Toter and 44Ft Stacker across it (60,000 lbs)? I am thinking about coming up this weekend but wanted to check about the bridge first.

I know of large RVs with trailers cross no issues, they have widen the roadway through there , and worked on that bridge, so you shouldn't have any issues in fact that bridge has been inspected ,and I remember it being rated very high, Find the email from Rod , get it to you!

I am thinking about coming up this weekend but wanted to check about the bridge first. Doughboy692, we rebuilt the bridge a few weeks before the start of this season. The bridge is used regularly by farmers taking big equipment out to the fields as the only means of getting out there. One of our racers brings ground up asphalt in his dump truck. The ground asphalt is 30,000lbs itself plus the truck. One of our regular S/P racers has a 42ft Renegade Motorcoach and 38ft Stacker he says weighs 50,000 lbs with two race cars and one dragster inside and can’t imagine your Toter and 44ft Stacker weighing more. In 2009 the previous owner had the US Army as a Sponsor and they brought the Army Corp of Engineers in to test the old bridge so they could bring Heavy Army Equipment across for displays. Their comment was they’d bring anything they have in their inventory across and if theres ever a severe storm to get under the bridge. If you don’t survive don’t worry because anyone within a 100 miles probably didn’t either. Hope that helps and feel free to call me anytime. 217-512-0673

If you do come out make sure you let the lady at the gate know your new and don't have a parking spot. She'll call me and I'll meet you at the top of the hill to take you too a spot. We'd love to have you out and if you run into any problems or having a hard time finding us please call my cell (217) 512-0673.

We used to race there every weekend and that was the first track I ever went to Indy for. Lots of great memories there. I live in Pekin so it's a pretty good haul. The only reason I didn't come last year was It's about the same distance for me as Cordova (all interstate there) and they pay $1k.
Rod - I did tell my wife I'd like to come a few times this year....can you PM me the average S/P payout?
