Really wish I could have been there but I used today to scale the car and finish the last of the little details from all of my winter upgrades. I am definitely going to be there next weekend to shake everything down.

Right down broadway. Ran a 5.32 @128. Looking back at our records that's only a couple off of what we normally run. Not too bad for a green track. But my car is over tired and under powered.

I got there between 8:00 and 8:30 and the track was VERY rough. Pretty sure it hadn't been touched since 2010. Jason Rueckert from VP Race Fuels did a phenomenal job of putting some life back into it. I think the track will be just fine after next week's 4 races and several hours with the squealer on the new top end concrete.

seemed the cars with slicks did fine but for those of with street tires i think our major contribution was putting some rubber down lol

I made 3 passes in the Pinto, the first pass was the 2nd pair down the track from the winning raffle ticket. All 3 60' times were between 1.449 and 1.445 and 1/8th mile times of 6.45 are normal numbers. The track seemed ok to me for a new surface.

Lots of debris. need to vacuum the staging lanes. Don Floyd and I ran each other. My dumbass forgot to turn the two step on. 60' was way off, had a 1.17 Floyd had a 1.08 I think. He said his is usually around 1.02 he ran a 4.59 I think and usually goes 4.30s 4.40s. Mine went 5.17 and should have been around a 4.95. Like 1997 all over again, it will take a while to bring the track back, but I'm glad as hell it's open again...
