I missed the forecast big time. Here it is on Saturday, sunny and beautiful. All of the race bikes and equipment were loaded into the trailer on Wednesday ready to go and I decided not to go because of the forecast. I apologize to the team for not going anyway.

It wasnt just you, it was me too...but we didnt miss it much, right now its mostly cloudy in Byron, and 40% chance of T storms tonight and tomorrow. I'm not making that trip until the forcast is SUNNY or at least MOSTLY SUNNY with a very freakin slight chance of a pop up shower! ;D I still think we made the right call!

It's getting ready to be a little more dangerous on June 4th & 5th. The wrecking crew will be in full attendance at 2 wheel speed. Maybe the weather will hold out this time.

It would be hard to race with cuffs on! ;D unless you cuffed our hands to the handle bars You guys know that Byrons tower is on your left side of the track, and they would like for your bike number and dial to be on the left side of your bike, not the front. its not a "must" but it makes things go quicker and smoother.

Thanks for the info. It's a good thing I made that bracket for the dial in board and installed it on the RIGHT side.

yeah, last year when I raced your bike there, Charles had some stick on numbers so we put the bike number on the side, but they still had to walk around the bike and radio the dial to the tower.
I'm gonna cobble together some sort of bike number/dial in board for the side of my bike.....maybe a dinner plate hanging from zip ties? ;D any idea's?

We wanted dry weather. How about dry and hot. 90* or better this coming weekend. These bikes aren't going to like the heat.

I'd choose "dry and Hot" over "cool and wet" anytime!

Janie's #'s have been put on the bike in 2 spots. Front & left side. I might move the dial in board, if not I have a back up plan on the dial in dilemma.
I took your old #'s off the bike, seeing how you don't want to play anymore ;D, and they didn't want to go. When I took them off they took the coating off the windshield with them. So now there is an NHRA sticker there.
