I wear a full face carbon fiber in the altered and sometimes on the bike. I have a matte finish motocross for off road. I used to wear a half shell on my old street bike.

I wear a full face with tear-offs, and a neck collar, because those clay mud clods HURT when they hit you in the face and throat. Even at slow speeds its like getting hit with a golf ball...!

Yours is probably a Snell SA rated helmet. Drag racers can get away with a Snell M. M's cost less than the SA.

Oh yeah... M2005 or higher are mandatory... I am not sure I would ever wear an SA in any racing kind of environment..?
