Johnboy and I went to the "Crossroads" for breakfast in his truck. It's this little dive diner on Rt 66. We had a massive breakfast. The Wildcat Horseshoe or something like that. It was a challenge. I finished mine, John wimped out and didn't clean his plate.....rookie. ;D
We went to the DMV he's officially a motorcycle rider now. We then went to RTD in Taylorville. It's a Honda a and somethin dealer. They didn't have what we were looking for. We went to Niehaus in Litchfield and they had a '08 Versys and a '07 KLR650 in the used section. The 2 bikes we were looking for! They let us take them both out for a ride.
The Versys is $5051 out the door.
The '07 KLR is about $3500 before TTL.
They have a "01 KLR for just over $2000
My opinion
Versys 650
Pros-
2 cyl
Fuel Injected
Surprisingly peppy.
Looks Good.

very nimble.
Cons-
Seating postion just a little agressive for me. My left arm does straighten out all the way since I broke it at Gateway.
