I left at 5500 on the 10.26 run, but it was on the verge of lifting the front wheel. A 4500rpm launch feels like a sunday ride, but will run 10.30`s while I`m texting my girlfriend. Slow is smooth, and smooth wins races, or I`m just an old fat guy that cant make a bike go fast ;D

Thanks for the info. I agree with what you said. I would rather win every round than be the fastest bike on the trailer every week.

I guess my years of racing my cbr900 has made my riding style what it is today. My Honda was one of the slowest bikes at the track, so I had to be smoother and more consistent than everybody else. My back to back points wins proves that works, but I still want to go FAST! but its like my throttle and clutch hands are on auto pilot and just do what they know how to do.

the last pass i made on your bike i tried to leave at about 4000 rpm i know i am not as smooth off the line as you but i felt it pulled real well. i am pretty sure i was short shifting the bike on every pass. my main concern was to go straight and make it to the other end. more seat time no matter what bike i ride i know i will improve or at least be more consistant.

but its like my throttle and clutch hands are on auto pilot and just do what they know how to do. OK, I had a long talk with both my hands and made it clear that I was in charge, not them. They promised to do as I say. We went to K.C.I.R. again today. The first run seemed to be like it was two weeks ago. I ran 10.31 @ 130.22 I yelled at my hands, and threatened to let Dusty ride my bike to see how fast it could go! My next five runs were; 10.19 @ 130.51 10.15 @ 131.32 10.21 @ 130.02 (only run in the right lane) 10.14 @131.25 10.11 @131.25 I was leaving the line at 5200rpm and had the clutch out and the throttle pinned within 40 ft 60 ft`s were 1.54 to 1.59

Those are good runs. The 60's looked good too.

John was over here today. We were on racingjunk and he found... It's not too far away and in his price range.
