Hey John, dont worry about tearing something up on my bike, it wont break. I have a AGV 2 piece leather suit size 48, and some Joe Rocket leather gloves that you can wear saturday. I`ve been trying to get someone to run my bike all summer so I can watch it go down the track. It will be Fun!

You did good today. Your et's were dropping. You didn't fall over. you din't flip over backwards. You didn't burst into flames or hit the wall. You didn't try to stage up at the tree or with the back tire. You didn't drive backwards up the dragstrip. You've got most of the midnight madness racers beat already. Even if you didn't win your gambler's race round, You got to race on a staggered tree and run somebody down.
A car and a bike are different. I thought you said you went 6.99. If you multiply that by 1.56 that comes out to a 10.90.

I think that math is different for a street bike. Take a street tire`d street bike and a slick tire drag car that run equal ET`s and the drag car will launch much harder and will run the 1/8 much quicker, but the street bike will catch back up by the 1/4 running more mph than the drag car. I think John`s 6.99 would have been in the low 10.80`s. I am looking at one of my old time slips with that bike showing 7.02 @ 104 1/8 and then 10.84 @ 127 Anyway you slice it, John did a great job today. He got progressively quicker, and the bike is still in one piece, and everybodys happy!

I was surprised how quickly John picked it up. He didn't seem nervous at all. That bike would make a great bracket bike. We would just need to make it shift like mine. .

Its been a great bike this year. I went to Mo-Kan 3 times, got 1 win, 1 runner up. Went to K.C.I.R. twice, got 1 win, 1 semi. Went to O.R.P. to their Motorcycle Bash and won Street Bike. Went to Eddyville twice and runnered up to Chad Isley in no-box bike both times. Went to Midstate`s 2 wheel speed event and won Streetbike. I`d sell it for the right price!

I took my bike to KCIR today to look for the shifting troubles John had with it. I`m sorry, but I couldnt find them ;D I made six full runs. Thats 30 shifts without a hitch. I still think John was fanning the button too fast, instead of pushing it. I`ve done the same thing many times. I have no doubt that with a little more seat time at the dragstrip, Johnboy will be going thru the gears just like the rest of us! Before today, John had made more passes on my bike with the swingarm extensions and new gearing than I had. Here are my six runs, not super consistent because I was trying different launch rpm`s and clutch feed speed. 10.37 @ 130.81 10.41 @ 130.00 10.26 @ 130.24 10.35 @130.43 10.34 @ 130.43 10.38 @129.62

I'm assuming that when you launched higher the bike picked up. What was your launch RPM range. What RPM were you at on that 10.26 run. Also did you shift at the same RPM. Inquiring minds want to know.
