Na it sucks that Gateway isn't smart enough to treat the racers like the southern tracks do If taking 16 hours to run 60 cars is the way southern tracks treat you Iām glad gateway is not smart like them š I can remember on multiple occasions going to I-57 with Dan passing up Gateway getting pictures taken in the winner circle and seeing Gateway still going as we passed it on our way home , but I guess the great and powerful OZ I mean Gateway had their reasons but sense it was Gateway it makes it ok lol

Gateway has more car count than Benton and bonne terre combined and they are still done sooner on a non special event night. I agree gateway runs way to long when points races are combined with stuff like the PSCA or the mopar double enter stuff.

Mopar double entered deal wasn't the issue,, broken car was biggest deal, which could happened at any time any race, any track. Big deal was ambulance had to leave with a medical emergency

I have not raced at Bonne Terre yet, but most that go there really enjoy racing there. The shutdown is the main reason I haven't been there, but I did here they just added 500ft of shutdown. Not running points last season, I raced at every track around except for Sikeston and Bonne Terre and my best total experience from top to bottom of any list you want to make was Harrisburg! They had a good car count and ran cars through as fast as you can, had nice pits, good food, covered grandstands, and was welcomed by the manager Jay. The drive sucked! By far the worst track experience I had was at CID! They treated us like trash, the pits suck, car count was bad, the drive there sucks, and I have never experienced anyone running cars down the track as slow as they did! We were there for around 12 hours for a total of 60 cars I all classes! It may have been a bad day, I don't really know. I would give them another chance though, as its hard to believe it can be that bad all the time. As far as Gateway goes, the only time its a long drug out deal there is when it is mixed with another event, which seems to be most of the races. On nights it was just the brackets, they ran the cars through as quick as anyone could. Heck there were a couple races last season the entire program from time runs to finals took only 5-6 hours total!

mid south dragway is open in tenn,or ozark is open for tnt Quote
Post by drphillips309 on Feb 26, 2018 at 8:06am Sucks that the southern tracks like bonne terre and sikeston are not smart enough to start racing sooner than gateway. Even though it should be warmer down south sooner. You have to go all the way to Memphis

Really? Maybe your tires have flat spots from locking up the brakes. Seems odd for a fairly new dragstrip. Never heard this before. Don Rauch raced there. Never said a thing. Gateway was bumpy for me last November... except it wasn't... the back tires weren't balanced.
