And can it be turned off or on at any time. Example the nostalgia race. Since I don't have anything that would qualify will I still be getting texts when I'm not there. That would get annoying over a weekend

They won't.its not the rounder round track, owner loves rounder round, hates drag racers, unless it NHRA. Even if they went to texting for class calls it break too

My take away this weekend. Race was very long into Saturday night as it usually is. Very little down time. One thing I noticed is the condition of the pits. The asphalt is going away fast. My guess a lot of water was under hit and our extra cold winter put the hurts to it. I don't remember all the pot holes last year. There is a hole going to the tower behind the stands on pit side you could lose your golf cart in. For me the traction was good. Bad transmission started my season of bad but it was only from 2008 and has all original parts in it. Just wish I would have known the pump went out at the end of last year. Thanks to many friends Steve, Matt, and Rick that made me able to make first round on Saturday.

My big takeaway was horrible dial in mistakes by far the worst ever. 4 of my 6 rounds were wrong. And it took multiple times to get it correct per round. Dial in boards not being cleared till after you burnout makes them useless. This is what slowed the show way down. You weren’t signaled to pull in the water until the guys in front of you were staged it took the clock operater so long.

I wonder if they were having issues with the dragsters on the dial in stuff, because I only saw one mess up of dial in through the two days and I was pulled into the water just like we always have been.

I forgot about dials being wrong. Saturday night they had Dennis Pearson's dial in wrong 3 times. And he has dial in boards. Dennis said he could see Mike give them the times they just entered it wrong. Dial in boards change when both cars ahead pre stage. Every track I've been to that's how they work.

I have video that says different and so does josh smith that was behind me third round. My dad wouldn’t leave the side of my dragster till the dial came on the small board for me. It never changed and they signed me to burn and I almost ran him over with the headers.
