I've talked to George about this a few times, looking for some feedback.

I myself would like to be able to run on Friday nights. maybe test a new setup here and there, hang out drink a few beers. As it is currently , there are no classes for dragsters. This has always bothered me when over 60% of your Saturday crowd is denied participation on Friday!

It sounds good. Many moons ago (2000 or so) they ran classes and then Juniors on Friday nights. Why not have a T'nT plus a dragster class, as well.
I don't have a dog in the fight for the 6.0 class or 7.0 for that matter. Maybe they could keep the dragsters and door cars separate until after those finals are run. Then, have another final (maybe a couple bucks) for a run-off between those two.
Just sayin'.

If you’re going to allow times throttle stops might as welll have dragsters too bc it is already different than most other index classes By allowing the times throttle stops the fast cars have a big advantage not only at the finish line but also at the starting line over several cars.

Just my .02 would be to keep it a door car class.

I like pats idea door class 6.0 winner vs the 6.0 dragster winner for like an extra $100 or something?

So the 6.0 final would be first round every Friday night?!

I honestly think the index classes would be better if there are no timed throttle stops, but if they are going to allow them, then I think having a dragster class of their own with a faster index is a better way to go.
90% of the doorcars running 6.00 cannot react fast enough on the .400 tree, but 90% of the dragsters can go red on it. I think the combination of that and having the big mph will give the dragsters a huge advantage. If they tried a class for dragsters, they would probably get a fair amount of dragsters that would come play, but not sure if they are just trying to keep that Friday series to only doorcars.
Tim, I know you have kicked around the idea in the past, but maybe its time to get you something with doors on it. Be a big change, but never know, you may love it!

I see where your coming from clay on the dragster .400 advantage but you can deep stage legally so that’s out the window, but as far as Tim building a door car just to play on Friday’s at Gmp fat chance. Lol. Heck I would run the mustang on Friday but they don’t want slow cars either so the field will remain small without slow cars or dragsters

Put the dragsters and the throttle stop cars in the same group. Make it an "anything goes" index. Let the participants decide what break they want at the beginning of season and don't change it. Problem solved for every body. Since they are the high roller cars anyway up the stakes for a bigger payout.

Hell, Tim could just borrow one. Doesn't everyone have two, fast door cars? Oh... no... that's just Kevin. Never mind.
