A quick Google search shows every event or track that I could find which hosts a 6.0 index is cars only. Some allow roadsters. But no dragsters.

Yes Tim is correct most 8.90 dragsters run close to 6.0s would definitely boost car count. Because by my math the index classes are a money looser in current format Most 6.0 cars would slow down to 7.0. They don't want to run dragsters. Me I want to go fast, but 7.0 at 130 would be wicked

None of the index classes are in line with what most cars would run in any of the .90 classes, so I really don't think mixing dragsters in with the 6.00 index would be the best call, as they would be at a pretty big advantage over 90% of the doorcars that run that class with the mph and being able to hit the tree good. I do think it would be great to add one for the dragsters though. I am actually setting up the throttle stop on my car this winter, so that I can play with the index classes a little more if they still have them.

Maybe make 6.0 for anyone like super comp. 7.0 for door cars only and 8.0 door cars only? I personally would not participate in either under the current payout to entry ratio

I personally would not participate in either under the current payout to entry ratio Jason here is my take on it. At last years races it paid $500.00 and 125.00 R/U I think. 4 rounds paid 500. I've lost 4-5 round a lot come home with zero. You would still start your timers off the line the same and adjust for 6.0, 7.0, 8.0. But to run 9.90 those times are not the same as 6.0 or 7.0 not even close.

I run 6.18 to run 8.90 so that’s pretty close to me

That will change if the car counts increase and you add another round, but as of now, 4 rounds for $500 is better than a points race.

Like 6 or 7 rounds for $300 SFG 500 takes 7 round wins to break even with a buy back, so they have you beat Steve! Lol. I sympathize honestly. Sportsman class payout is way too low.

Or only one race per weekend? I kinda like a Friday / Saturday two day race , that leaves Sunday as family day I at use to go boating every Sunday during the summer but last year I was going to put more money in the boat then it was worth or I had to spend to get it going for the season so I got rid of it which made it the first time I didn't own a boat in almost thirty years and I missed it this year so I plan on buying another in 2019 so no upgrades planed for the car

I'm a little late to this topic. I think peoples preferences depend on what stage of life they are in or their work schedules. But my opinion is these days is that I don't mind a couple multiple day race weekends a year but usually I prefer a single day race. Too much going on with other things in life to have the time to devote an entire weekend to the race track too many times a year.
