Then shift it into 2nd, 3rd then 4th and slowly come out of the water box once the entire area is engulfed in smoke. ;D Sounds pretty good to me, but why stop with 4th, its a 6 speed, dont be sissy! USE EM ALL ;D Dont worry John, I'll show you how with Marks bike

Hey, easy now. All of this business of "I'll show you how it's done" has already cost me a transmission on that thing. I guess when I tell someone to "ride it like you stole it" I should already know the outcome. I won't mention any names DK!

i think 2nd gear 6000 to 7000 rpm out of the water until it grabs.

Perfect! Go around the water, back the rear tire just into the very edge of the water, spin it in 2nd gear @ 7000 for about 3 seconds, then let off the the front brake just enough to let the bike creep forward and ease down the throttle to 3500-4000 rpm at the same time. If its done right, the tire will grab hard and you have to pull the clutch in quickly. Then make sure you put it back in 1st before you stage! Everyone has their own style of burnout that works for them, I'm just saying that this is what works for me On marks bike, I use 1st gear because his bike is geared higher than mine. 1st gear on his Hayabusa still has plenty of tire speed.

It depends on which bike I'm on. If it's one of my bikes I can run it hard as I want but if it"s Mark's bike I guess I'd better baby it from now on.

C'mon Dusty, Marks just razzing you. Janie raced that bike for 3 or 4 years, you raced it some, then I started racing it, then you raced it again and the tranny broke. That doesnt mean YOU broke it, any of us could have been on it at the time.
