friday night test and tune at cid is $25. last time I went up there with the car we got 6 passes, the car count was low so no problem. Yeah Dennis the $10 to stay over is extra. don't know what they will charge when they have that nostalgia race with friday T n T and parking. If you go for a Friday test n tune why not spend the night and race the next day, that is one car they know will be racing. the only time my generator runs is when we need the lights in the trailer or I'm charging the batteries. a pit bike comes in real handy when you have to pit at the other end of the track from the starting line and they call a drivers meeting. also come in handy when you have a car that does not have a radiator, or you need to get a couple of Jr Dragsters to the staging lanes. then you have people who need them for medical reasons. to me it boils down to one word GREED. Idono how much greed is involved Yeah it's money but for some it is a luxury item not down on cart per say just we have seen kids who shouldn't be on them cutting thru pits staging lanes and some just out right stupidity stunts on them and parents don't care anymore no respect of rules at all As for T N T $25 is what I paid i recieved no less than 6 passes there we stayed the night slept on trailer n truck No charge Things change hard for a tract to do entry of 25$ on T N T when 25 -30 cars show up To run from 6-10-10:30 gotta pay lights ins track prep gas salaries So they really go in the hole that day but im sure they hope it gives racers seat time and hopefully bring more in I don't think they are out of hand at all to charge 10 bucks for overnight hell go find a hotel for ten bucks lol Spend that much on lotto ticket !

I think the last time I stayed at Bowling Green or Beach Bend if you prefer they wanted to know if I was staying on the property for the weekend and when I said yes they charged me an additional $40.00 for the weekend which breaks down to $20.00 a night. When I questioned her about it she said it for use of the restroom and showers, haven't been there since..

I've stayed at bowling green and never paid extra during a race weekend. They do have a campground that costs money.

That would make sense. There are showers in drag strip bathrooms now.

There is no fee to camp for racers. Here it is copied from their website:
* All overnight campers (competitors) must purchase full events tickets or race tech cards upon arrival. No overnight camping fee for competitors. There will be a $10 fee per day in pit spots with access to electricity. (If used)

(If used) sounds nice Rick, but I ask about competitors sleeping in their trailer overnight and got no reply at all. the rules have to much double talk in them. why should I have to purchase a tech card Friday night for the Saturday race? if my car brakes or we find something that requires us to take her home and order parts do they refund the price of the second card? I can count 9 or 10 cars that will not be there because of the track management.

If you actually go to Cordova's website and look at their rules, they mirror CID's. They were implemented by IHRA's insurance company. One thing everyone needs to understand is why some of these rules were put in place. CID has always has a spirited nightlife. It's one of the things we all like about it. However, over the last 2yrs, there have been some accidents involving excessive drinking & pit vehicles. Buddy of mine fell off a golf cart and was taken to ER. (at about 2 a.m.) It was pretty bad. Like you guys said...common sense goes a long way but, unfortunately that isn't always available. I can assure you....if some of the things happening at CID happened at CCD...it would be stopped too. Even if it wasn't posted as a rule. Rules can be posted to appease the insurance company but, only enforced if needed.
IHRA - we racers voted to change. I 100% prefer it to NHRA. Much friendly group to work with, lower prices for stuff, better value at the ET finals, and our year end rewards for the SSS kill the NHRA offering. And really, outside of the year end stuff, what do ya get from any sanctioning body??
Start time....I agree. I don't like the 11 thing at all. I have voiced my opinion on that one too. I don;t know if it's to not use lights or what. To me...if you lose 2 cars over it...it's a bad idea. Tracks need all the casr they can get.
Limited schedule sucks. I did a spreadheet of all tracks in our region, (I can send anyone if you like), shows each schedule because I will be traveling around some. We have same # of races as GMP or Cordova but, I think we should have more. We should be starting in April. I would run more 2 day deals too.
Personality issues...yep...def been some of those to run guys off.
I'm like Jeremy, and curious to see how car counts do this year. I want to shoot for the points title in 2015 in order to compete for the IHRA world title. However, if car counts this year are way down....I'll be doing something different in 2016.

I'm NOT going to list anybody elses name on the net. I can tell you for sure Jeff has ran off a few guys since he has managed the track. More will follow if he don't change his ways.

Well isn't that nice for you footbrake racers they nostalgia event took over your date for the challenge and will be scheduled at a later date!!!! And I believe there was a post made that it will not be canceled unless it was mother nature.. Well that just shows what's important because the schedule shows they are closed the 19 and 20 of June so why not put the nostalgia guys or even the challenge to that day they are closed.. And since the beginning of the year I have seen nothing about the foot brake challenge on how anything was going to work or the prices of the cards so I'm thinking they just forgot about it.....
