How about he has alienated everybody that worked there Example Murphy and his son there every weekend to work the ticket shack in exchange for entry/tech card parking spot and little pay after spending his own money on weed killer and concrete patch to maintain track that Jeff should be covering no thank you and told him if he didn't like it to get off the property (this has affected entry's due to his friends) 2014 every jr race overlapping MWSS races even after Jeff was given MWSS schedule at banquet way before season started to not overlap so jrs will show up at CID.when he did that that was a slap in the face telling us we don't want you here Then switching to ihra to line his pockets Don't get me wrong I Love nostalgia racing but not just nostalgia cars,Jacklyn proved that they can run with bracket racers and put on a good show Jeff just needs to wake up no frank needs to wake up or they'll be landing crop dusters there it a shame cause tracks pretty nice today compared to middle 90s

I guess I'm spoiled cause I liked the way Rich and Jacklyn ran the track. At least they listened to the racers, but not everybody was happy. Just the majority.

92ga I heard you basically gave your car away someone got a smoking deal they can thank Jeff for that sorry had to go there Yea, but race cars are hard to get what they're really worth. I just made up my mind I wasn't going to CID anymore, and not into traveling. Somebody got a good car cheap. Heck I can't even get a bite on my spare motor. Might just yank it down and put some street friendly pistons in it.

You really don't know what you're talking about, do you? How many times you been there in the last 3 or 4 years? ALL Motorized Pit Vehicles (Scooters, Sprees, Golf Carts, 4-Wheelers, etc.) must be registered at the Racetrack in order to be operated at the track. The cost is $10, a registration form must be completed to keep on file at the track, and a sticker will be issued to affix to the pit vehicle. This Pit Vehicle Registration is not optional. No such vehicle is to be operated in the restricted area of the pits, EVER! This will be strictly enforced!! NO Crew may be forward of cars during burnout, crew member must remain outside of track wall until vehicle comes to a stop. Racers who wish to run Test and Tune when out of competition may at the discretion of race official, for a fee of $10 per run. Curfew-Curfew will start 1 hour after the conclusion of racing. There will be no loud noise such as engines or[ parties ]and all motorized pit traffic on CID property shall cease. Here are just a few of the bullshit rules they have come up with for 2015. So if you like to party after racing watch your ass, cause they will ban you!! NHRA Division 5 has done the whole pit vehicle thing for years, they charge you an annual fee for the privilege to ride your pit vehicle at their events, if you don't have the sticker they will make you buy it. And the curfew deal is straight from Cordova except if you violate the curfew at Cordova they impound your pit vehicle until the end of the event. I think the purpose of it is to end the late night antics that always seem to happen when it seems racers, pit vehicles and alcohol seem to go hand in hand and someone always seems to get hurt. The TnT deal honestly kind of makes sense, yeah it seems stupid to charge additional if you're already there but stop to think that you are actually asking for more than what everyone else gets so why not charge extra for it. I mean if I go there and I pay my normal entry fee and I make lets say 6 passes and get knocked out of competition, why would I expect them to let me make more passes when I have gotten my monies worth already? Granted there were tracks that used to let you do it but they are few and far between now. I mean I can't think of a track that will let you do it since MAR closed in 2004.

Jeff can't control the weather and I don't need to ask someone if I should go racing or stay home sounds like your blaming Jeff for your bad call your normal brown noser, have run a few times at CCD and checked with Rod and was told they were running, got a phone call on my way over telling they were called off because of rain, that is the way a track should operate showing they care about the racers not traveling for nothing.

At Coles county they really make me feel welcome, and yes I plan on going several times. will probably have to come down to gateway to get any testing done. bummer what would happen if gateway started charging everyone $10 each to stay in their motorhomes overnite?

I don't see anything that will keep me away. I think the $10 a run is fair. Why let someone risk oiling the track during eliminations and causing the others to wait at no benefit I the track. There has been times I would have paid $100 for one run. $10 seems like a bargain.
Don't get me wrong I don't like everything I read but I'm still planning on coming up sat. I need more seat time in my mustang before next weekend.

i will tell you that the people running cid needs to get out and be personable with the racers go to the pits and just get to know them. In the last week I have talked to the guy who runs ccd more than I have jeff in the 3 years he has been there. all the people at coles county are great when they walk by they will say hi if you are having a problem with the race car Rodney will come by and see what is wrong or if there is anyway he can help with. so I will be another making a lot of trips to coles county this year which so far has been 3 times already

I have been to CCD and Rod and his crew are the best. First and only time I have went to a track and the owner came to my trailer to make sure I was having a good time. Gateway does charge to TnT and you are probably paying close to the $10 the they are wanting to charge you guys at CID, you see you only get a few passes on a regular test night, granted there are times you get more but on the average if you get two hits you are doing good. Gateway has charged people to stay overnight if you wanted to come in early for an event, they would charge you whatever they were charging the TnT guys whether you were unloading your car or not

Could be having problems with the car and need to work them out. Certainly aint going to drive up there on Friday night to T&T and drive back home. If I wanted to be treated like s**t I'd stayed with the ex wife.

You can attempt to find out your problem for $10. Seems like a better deal to me. Plus then you are ahead of schedule of getting your car sorted out without having to wait until you can get back. Why should you get more runs for free? You have already been rendered the services you paid for. Now you want extra at the possible expense of the track and the racers left in competition for free? I don't want to be there late bc of an oil do em just bc someone wanted to make a free run. What happens when a lot of people want to take advantage of a free run? Are those still competing supposed to be delayed? What benefit to the track is there? $10 isn't much. The track isn't going to name a lot. This is there way of limiting those runs to those that truly need them. You go to Mickey dees for a lunch. You pay for it, eat it, then decide you want a ice cream cone. You getting it for free just bc you already spent some money there?

I might be wrong. Also is it $10 per vehicle or per person? IMO GMP should only charge you a spectator fee not a T$T entry.

Well think we all want something free , reality is there's not a track out here that's not running in the red and are trying things to help stop the bleeding I don't have a golf cart l walk where I need to go but I see the issues carts n bikes have at tracks I hear issues of all the generators have to lol Charging for getting extra time run after you've been eleminated from competition is and should be done After all you was out of competition , just think about it If you think you have an issue they give you a free run you go out drop a motor or tranny. Crash God forbid now you've taken valuable time Lucky it's only ten dollars ! TNT you would normaly pay a lot more

friday night test and tune at cid is $25. last time I went up there with the car we got 6 passes, the car count was low so no problem.
Yeah Dennis the $10 to stay over is extra. don't know what they will charge when they have that nostalgia race with friday T n T and parking. If you go for a Friday test n tune why not spend the night and race the next day, that is one car they know will be racing.
the only time my generator runs is when we need the lights in the trailer or I'm charging the batteries.
a pit bike comes in real handy when you have to pit at the other end of the track from the starting line and they call a drivers meeting. also come in handy when you have a car that does not have a radiator, or you need to get a couple of Jr Dragsters to the staging lanes. then you have people who need them for medical reasons. to me it boils down to one word GREED.
