Make next year worth racing. Everyone that wants in pays 500 cash on the first points race ( you have all winter to save up). The highest point earner in each class ( that paid the 500) will race in a king of the track run off. Can enter multiple classes at 500 each. The king of the track could walk away with over twenty grand. Would make for a exciting last race.

I'm beginning to think we should just do our own thing all of the time...side pots , calcuttas, last man standing etc
The track is already operating on a rental basis with their tiered payouts. I am really starting to think they do not want huge car counts. Imo I think they are not willing to pay the bills for an all day race. I'm assuming that the extra payroll and lighting bill is not worth the small increase in profit margin to be gained by actually trying to throw a great race. I'm also starting to feel like there is a "well they showed up for $700 to win last week, lets try $600 this week mentality I hope I'm wrong and just in a bad mood cause racing season is over. .lol

When they see people show up in bonne terre and race index for no money it's like the sports car road course no money going out.

Jason I like your idea and way of thinking but the sportsman and pro guys mite not enter because of the odds of them winning it all are not as good as a box car.

Bonne terre had what I heard people call a "good" turn out last week and there were 65 cars in eliminations. However I think the track is making money as I would say probsbly 500 spectators.

Yes they charge 10 per spectator. Racers pay 35 and it looked like they pay back about 50 percent of entries

so far bonne terre has paid back 70% of the class entries to the racers. say its $200 from racer entries, track keeps $60, so $140 split 60/40 to the racers $85 winner, $55 runner up
