Now should he make the marathon trip with his race car to Pomona or fly out and race a renta car? My dad says pulling a trailer stopping for only for fuel is two days of pure hell. If he tows it he needs to take a few extra days

Think he talked himself out of that. I looked it up and told him it was 3600 miles round trip. He is working on a truck and trailer. We'll see what happens. He'll make the best decision.

Keep in mind parts of Nevada have mountains you have to drive tegu with snow and steep grades and can roads can be closed for weather and not reopen for days . This is no normal trip . My dad's buddy is a truck driver and went along for the ride to show him snow routes and to switch drivers . You can also talk to other winners that mite have a stacker trailer or something to help split the fuel.

How much show up money does he get? Could ship it and fly? I was thinking super pro gets $3500 but am not sure.

They all get $3,500. The difference in the payout is the amount they got at the time of winning the event. Steve Pearson has raced at Pomona after winning Indy. and says the $3,500 is almost a break-even by the time you travel, bring family & friends, etc. We estimated about $1,500 in fuel, round trip, just for the tow. Jason should have some insight into this as well.

Yep it's about a wash as far away as we are. It should be pro rated based on you division the guy from Vegas gets the same as the guy from New York . That's not fair.
