Chassis cert and license for IHRA is 6.00. I believe this will be a good thing for CID. You are correct also!

I don't think are many differences in the rules. I 110% agree with you guys too....NHRA needs to change it's business model or it will be done. I think (and hope) there is a changing of the guard with sportsman racing. If IHRA treats us well and with respect.....be a major improvement to Glendora.

Does IHRA accept the NHRA cert. and lic. or do you need to re cert. the car and get a new lic.? You have to get a re cert and a license plus join the IHRA. If you just run on a local track and not a National or Pro-Am events you can generally use your NHRA credentials.

He said last night you could use your currant license and certification at the track, BUT if you go to the bracket finals in Mi. you would need IHRA license and certification there.

Actually as far as Insurance, the coverage is exactly the same. Even same company. CID just will not have to buy the part NHRA requires you get from them. I REALLY like what I heard last night. They really want it to be about the racers and the finals package is killer to NHRA. I thought about this. IHRA allows you guys to come race on your lic and stuff but NHRA won't. Now who loses here? If many of us dump our NHRA stuff...and more small tracks go IHRA...where is megabucks and other races gonna draw from??? They need to wake up for their tracks sake. If CCD and Byron were to change, NHRA only has he big tracks left with limited cars.

Hey Chad- Did they which division we are in? I assume we would be in Division 5? I wonder if CCD will accept our IHRA license and certs for a regular weekly program?

I was kind of disappointed at the poor turn out, but then again it was on short notice, and it's high school basketball season.
was glad to hear the gran daughter will have two classes she would be able to run. there is to be a teenage class and the car will be able to run the foot brake class as well, giving her more seat time. will also be nice to have a class where the rules fit my car, after i remove the trans brake button. sounds like S/P and Pro will not change much, so many will be happy there, just did away with how quick you are allowed to run. if it is a no box car and runs a 4.00 et that's good.
from what i understood about the finals, what could be a real fun event, if your budget is such that you can run the gamblers races they are supposed to have. to bad indy was a REALLY REALLY BAD TIME FOR ME.
