i dont even think a shot at another wally will drag me back there this year... instead of worrying about campgrounds and showers, new return roads and everything else, they need to cough up money.. if they paid, the racers would come back.. plain and simple.. the track has been getting better, especially since going to sat nights.

There have been a lot of spectators showing up and I can imagine the concession stand has been thriving.

Adam why didn't you run Todd in the final? Did they mix all no box cars? Something don't sound right even with the low payouts. I understood pro against s/pro in the final for the combo. So much drama, I guess we didn't know how good it really was till now.

everyone thru Bob under the bus last year, NOW LOOK AT WHAT YOU GOT!!!! I hate to open up this can of worms, but even with the weak payouts, this season has still been an improvement over last year all things considered. Have you come down and raced at all?

Why doesnt a representative from CID come on here an justify what they do. Maybe that would clear things up?

So, if a street class car would have won instead of a sportsman car we would have had a street car against a s/pro car in the final. Lovely. s**t like this is why we continue to have dwindling car counts. I can understand lower than normal pay outs, BUT we NEED a SAFE fair track to race on. People won't bring their cars out for this, somebody needs to wake up before it's TOO LATE. I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT THR RACERS CID. Charlie Pryer Sr.

According to the points list, there where 18 pro cars,17 super pro, 6 spt, and 6 street which brings in $2165 alone. They paid out $1000. That's not including what they make on spectators, bye backs, fuel and concessions. We think they had 16 employees sat. I realize there are expenses, but look at coles.. they are willing to pay back 90-100% of their class entry fees to the class, and pay the bills with the buy back, spectator, concessions and whatever else money. most people bring atleast one spectator with them at $10 a peice. thats going to go a long way towards paying the staff off in itself.

They lost money to be open. I cant speak for Cole County,, Maybe they have to count on BB to help pay the bills I dono, Sure that just about any track that does BB , needs the money to survive!, Ins,, electric, Payment on the property has to be a big number @ month! Land taxes a year, phone bill, (? )water? bill Pay(?) announcer(?),Advertise adds for events, pay help ,even at min wage, just 10 people, @8 hrs, then comes payouts, Concessions may make a little money, but I'm sure there is some loss there as well . so that $2165 sure has to go a very long way! OO the owner has to make something for his investment? In the parts buisness ,,corp, says they can not make money unless the register is ringing sales of over $600 @ hour!! anything under that , they lose,, so they say!! I57 and Cole County has to beat every bush,, turn over every leaf, and PROMOTE every event, Welcome you thru the gate as if you was their long lost brother, I dono , but I will say it takes @ 20-26 cars a class to make enough money to do all the thing required to make a very successful track operate and do nice payouts . just a guess.? ( a track like GMP maybe more?) Please do think that that any of this is an excuse for the management of a track ,, to not put the best platform out there for racers to run on,! And information avaliable before racer come to the track, so you know up front what is excpeted , and required of racers, and what level payouts are done at, and the car counts required for that to happen .

yeah Adam, i was there twice this year, if you would bother to read my posts, and it was made perfectly clear to me that i was not welcome. I was there for the first quick 16, and watched many of the high horsepower cars spin as they tried to leave the starting line. I was there for the nostalgia races when the 41 willys pick up was destroyed. the only person who treated me fairly on both weekends was the tech guy. the rest, except Ron and Carolyn, look down their noses at us like we have no idea of how to drag race. I believe some think we are sheep to be fleeced.
at the spring nostalgia race it was to be a .500 pro tree, a couple of people wanted a full tree instead. instead of having a show of hands to see what all racers wanted, greg changed to the full tree. I was standing near the back of the stands and could BARELY HEAR WHAT HE WAS SAYING.
the parts to finish fixing the new car should be here this weekend, but the only time i will bring it up will be on a test and tune weekend, then I'd have to let some body else do the driving since I will not have finished healing.

92ga, are trying to say that they take care of the people they like and think they are the best thing to happen since sliced bread? ?
