I wouldn't say all the racers. There are several of Gateway's races on other races.

I'm afraid you may be correct on this. Funny, they haven't posted anything about entry fees or payouts, yet. But, they are looking for volunteers to clean up their place before the beginning of the season. I would be much more inclined to help (I suppose) if I knew what was going to be planned for our bracket program this year. I hope they don't try to wait unit the first of April to give us any details. That would be April fools day HOWs all those shovels doing at MARP that everyone was holding. I guess GMP payouts needs to comparable to MARPs posted ones . ;D Oh well they knew the concerns of racers about payouts . Why so anti marp? Hard to believe anyone else would be doing any better in their situation.

And the only almost real deal is GMP and some are knocking a unknown of payouts the way into a facility that might really be opening .I signed the petition and been to couple car shows . I've talked to Ronnie and Steve at the swap meet they asked me ?? about GMP and I've said you guys got more stamina than most to try to stay the coarse.

I think the reason people are knocking it is bc its real. It is opening in a few weeks and they can't even get the info out that MARP has.
What I can't get over is how everyone is so Pro Gateway without even knowing the details. Sure it will be nice if its open but if their show isn't any better than the past it really isn't a big deal if they are open.
If a new resturant opens in my town (which has no resturants) and the food sucks I'm not going to be saying but at least their open.

I agree with you Jeremy. So far, the new GW management has done nothing to prove they are "grassroots racer friendly" as advertised. I believe it's important to understand racetracks are in business to make money and this is never more important than in today's economy. Gateway (and MARPARK) may be in trouble before they even get started because of increasing costs shouldered by racers (read fuel). How many individuals can continue to afford racing when gas is 5-10$ a gal...yes I said 10!! Just wait!! After losing 2 home tracks in less than 10 years, my outlook tends to be a bit pessimistic. Sorry...
